Faces of the Global Leadership Summit

Every day we hear stories of leaders from around the world who are taking what they’ve learned at the Global Leadership Summit and applying it to their lives and their leadership. Here are just some of the stories we’ve heard:

Will from UK 1

“My grander vision is to keep church leaders encouraged. We all have our problems, and difficult issues to work though, and we’re not always sure what the next step is, but God is big. He knows our situation.

It’s important to lean into God, because God is bigger than whatever difficulty we’re facing. When Jesus said he will build his church, he meant it. The gates of hell will not prevail against it.

Our job is to sow the seed, and God does the growing. Keep on faithfully doing what you’re doing, and learning. That’s a key aspect of the GLS – the commitment to personal development. God is with you, lean into him, trust him, and keep learning.”

“I am most proud of my family. As a leader, I affect my family first, and then it goes out from there.”

“There are a lot of conferences, but not many that intersect faith. That’s one of the biggest reasons I attend the Summit. I want to learn how to intersect my faith in the workplace. That’s one of my biggest challenges.

I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built, and learning more about the personal side of people’s lives – learning about their life, what motivates people, and why they do what they do. The biggest thing about empowering your team is learning about their aspirations. I like to understand people as people, not just co-workers.

People are my passion. In this day in age, you see your co-workers more than your family sometimes. I think God put me in my workplace intentionally, for a reason. It wasn’t by accident.”

– Jason Beck, GLS Attendee, Chicago
